About ANUPRESS

ANUPRESS is written and built by a small team, not one person and not a large company. We’re spread across different countries and work on this alongside other things, which is part of why this page stays short: we’d rather spend the time on the reviews and the tools than on a mission statement.

Why this site exists

We kept running into “best hosting” and “best card” lists that read like nobody involved had actually opened an account or migrated a real site. We wanted a place where a recommendation means someone genuinely looked into it, and where the free calculators save you the spreadsheet we had to build for ourselves before making the same decisions.

Running this also takes real hours, research, writing, building and maintaining close to 50 free tools, keeping reviews current. Some of that time gets paid for through the affiliate links and ads on this site. We’re not going to pretend otherwise. That’s covered in full on the disclosure page, and it never decides what gets recommended first.

Who we are

We don’t put individual names or photos on this page. That’s a choice, not an oversight. A name and a headshot are the easiest trust signal to fake online, plenty of sites use them with nothing real behind them, so we’d rather you judge ANUPRESS by whether a review’s numbers hold up and whether a tool gives you the right answer, both of which you can check yourself. If you want more context on who wrote or built something specific, ask through the contact page and we’ll tell you what we can.

How we review things

We use the products we review before we write about them. That means creating an account, setting things up, and spending real time with the service the way an actual customer would, not summarizing a spec sheet or rewording someone else’s review. A review doesn’t go up until we’ve actually used the thing.

That’s also how we keep reviews honest. If something underperforms or isn’t worth the price, we say so, even when it’s a company we have an affiliate relationship with. A commission from a signup never decides whether a product gets a good review. We ask the same core questions of every product in a category too, so a rating means roughly the same thing from one review to the next, not a different bar depending on the product.

The free tools

Alongside the reviews, ANUPRESS has a growing set of free calculators and converters for finance, hosting, photography and everyday data work: VAT, take-home pay, loan payoffs, depth of field, CSV cleanup and more. Every one of them runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into a calculator here is sent anywhere, logged, or stored. That was a design decision from day one, not a legal disclaimer someone told us to add.

Corrections

If something on this site is wrong or out of date, we genuinely want to know. Get in touch and we’ll look into it. Reviews get updated when products change, and every tool page shows the assumptions behind its numbers so you can check the math yourself.
